◆ Overview
The Xinanjiang brand PSGH-II series graphite-modified polypropylene shell and tube heat exchanger features a shell made of polypropylene and heat exchange tubes made of graphite-modified polypropylene.
◆ Features
Both the tube and shell sides can handle corrosive media. Due to the use of thin-walled small-diameter tubes as heat exchange elements, the effective heat transfer area within the same volume is larger. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding almost all inorganic media and most organic solvents. It is resistant to scaling, and its heat transfer performance remains stable.
◆ Applications
Polypropylene heat exchangers possess excellent corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties. The product offers numerous advantages, including being non-toxic, cost-effective, lightweight, and having a long service life. It is widely used in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgy, and food processing.
◆ Precautions
When selecting a graphite-modified polypropylene heat exchanger, the heat transfer area should generally be three times that of a metal shell and tube heat exchanger and 1.5 times that of a graphite shell and tube heat exchanger.
During startup, the cold medium should be introduced first, followed by the hot medium. During shutdown, the hot medium should be stopped first. Polypropylene plastic equipment should avoid contact with open flames.
After shutdown in winter, it is advisable to drain the cooling water to prevent freezing and expansion damage to the heat exchange tubes.
